The blackout protest today has definitely been noticeable to me today as I was out doing product research. I must have come across at least 20 sites that were completely shut down for the day. As annoying as it was, I'm amazed at what a paradigm shift we are entering into in this age of technology, where the massive amounts of people can become aware of these issues and also take action! Just think back only 10 years ago and imagine how easy it would have been for the government to pass a SOPA type bill. Times are a' changin, that's for sure. Well, I think people are paying attention to it now, whether they like it or not. The blackout protest today has definitely been noticeable to me today as I was out doing product research. As annoying as it was, I’m amazed at what a paradigm shift we are entering into in this age of technology, where the massive amounts of people can become aware of these issues and also take action! Just look at the direction apple is moving towards with their latest OS X Lion. It's essentially a hybrid of the two.
